We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We look forward to your return to our office and want to inform you of the safety preparations we have made.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, which ensures that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA). We will continue to monitor all new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

We have made the following upgrades to our safety procedures for both patients and staff.

New Safety Policies for Patients:

  • Patients will undergo screening questions prior to their appointment. Patients who have symptoms of a respiratory infection (e.g. cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath) or have had recent exposure to COVID-19 will be rescheduled.
  • Patients are asked to wear a mask when visiting the office.
  • Office staff will take the temperatures of patients using forehead scanners upon arrival to the office.
  • We have reorganized our office to maximize social distancing and cleanliness. We have also altered work flows to allow patients to wait in the waiting room or in their cars until their exam room is ready. Patients can be notified by text or phone call when the provider is ready for the visit to begin.
  • We ask that patents arrive to their appointment alone. For children and adults who need a caretaker, we ask that one adult accompany the patient.
  • Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and children’s toys since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • We ask that all necessary paperwork be completed at home prior to arrival.
    New Safety Policies for Office and Staff:
  • Our staff has completed training on all new work flows and infection prevention measures.
  • Our staff will be wearing appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE).
  • Our exam rooms will continue to be sanitized before and after every patient visit.
  • Our staff members will be screened each day for symptoms and/or fever prior to coming to work.
